A proposal for Britain

Our economy rewards the wrong things.

We tax work. We exempt idle wealth. We price carbon too cheaply to change behaviour, then wonder why behaviour doesn't change. This is what a different set of choices looks like.

75–80% of households better off
1m new jobs created
22% emissions reduction by 2030
£34bn surplus for green investment

The core principles

Immediate results

Trust has to be rebuilt. People need to feel the benefit in order to believe in the plan.

Go with the grain

Good systems redirect human nature rather than suppress it. Price incentives beat moralising.

Give and take

A new social contract. Some big asks, but with lots in return. Fair and honest taxation.

Tax wealth, not work

The first £25k you earn is tax-free. Accumulated wealth, especially idle assets, pays its share.

Housing is the keystone

Pull it out and everything else follows. Land banking must cost money. Living must cost less.

Iterate and evolve

Economies are complex and no plan is perfect. So we monitor and adjust often.
